The Holbert family should be run out of town on the very rail they are using to destroy this community. -John
This is all about greed. They (the Quarry, Railroad and Holbert family) don't care who they hurt as long as they get paid. -Tina
I can't even let my daughter outside to play anymore, the clouds of dust are so bad that she can't breathe. -Anna
The trucks don't stop at the stop signs in town. They don't have any respect for the people that live here. -Ray
I used to respect and believe that the Holbert family really cared about the town of Lackawaxen since several generations of their ancestors built this town. But Dave, Wayne, Tina and Abby seem to be intent on destroying Lackawaxen and the people who live here. Shame on you! -Chris
My kids and I were waiting for the school bus in the morning and a Quarry Management truck swerved onto the shoulder and sprayed gravel all over my kids. These trucks aren't safe and I can't believe they are allowed to operate during the hours that buses are picking up kids. It looked like the driver was texting as he approached our driveway. -Cindy
Yesterday morning, I was driving down Masthope Plank Road and a Q&M Truck crossed the center line and almost ran me off the road. I honked at the truck but it kept on going. -Stan on March 31st
I called Lackawaxen Township and they said that they couldn't do anything about the Quarry because it was on railroad property. Maybe it is time for new Supervisors in Lackawaxen! The dust that is blowing onto our property is in violation of township ordinances just like the noise, while the Quarry may be able to hide behind the protections of the Railroad, they do not have the right to cause excessive noise and damage to my property from the dust that is drifting onto my land and home. Bottom line, the Quarry owns the dust and they are responsible for the damage to our homes and community by their property. This is a matter of public health and safety and the Township should be actively suing the Quarry and the Railroad to protect its residents. -Thomas
I grew up here and before the Quarry started using the railroad, I couldn't imagine living anywhere else but in Lackawaxen. Now I would sell my home and leave the area but since this operation was set up secretly without community input, I can't leave because my property is worth nothing. -Neil
Unorganized and communication is poor. Directives not clear and main focus is trucking. Trucking was always rushing and drove dangerously. Fighting between staff and walk outs not uncommon. -Former Employee Post on Indeed

3:00 am start time and 6:00 pm finish if your truck lasts the day. -Former Employee Post on Indeed
Company never knows what's going on and working is never a set thing. Won't give you heads up about working and send you home early then expect you to come in for not even a full day of work next day, not to mention with not even a 24 hour notice. All over the place and management is non-existent. -Former Employee Post on Indeed
I thought the trucks were supposed to be covered when hauling crushed stone. The truck hit a bump and rocks flew out and cracked my windshield. I tried to get a license plate number but the plates were so dirty, I couldn't read them. Had to give up and call my insurance company when I got back to New York. -Woodloch Guest
